Very nice loaches there! Mine got to this size after about a year of being in my tanks. You can feed them just like other loaches, algae wafers, loach pellets, shrimp pellets, they love blood worms...

On the charcoal in the filter, definitely take that out as it will remove any ferts you dose from the water column.
