Acrylic is stronger and lighter but as others have said, if you fart on it, it will scratch. Most scratches can be fixed though. Acrylic also insulates better.

Not generally speaking. I'm not aware of any that work well for delivering really small amounts off gas effectively. See if you can find any in bettatails guide.

The Rena tubing is the best stuff I've come across. Pretty sure you can order it from big als or drs. It doesn't kink like the stuff from the hardware store.
