If u can, use both, can't go wrong over...

If u can, use both, can't go wrong over filtering, just make sure u have a presponge on the hob to avoid the shrimps getting sucked in if u do decide on a hob

Gotcha! Well, the way things look, the "sakura" might go into a side tank/bucket, they are all still transparent... which is another issue itself

I think it was more of the cycle not running it's course, person I bought the shrimps from only added prime to his water, and he has the same water supply... I doubt NYC water is full of horrible...

Hi All, so I set up a 40 breeder a month or two ago and split it into 3 sections, left an inch or so under the glass dividers to make water changing easier... I'm using NYC water which is about 6.8...
