They do slip out of the slots where the water...
They do slip out of the slots where the water exits on my breeder box. I just cut plastic mesh grids and overlap them. Holes are small enough to keep most of the newly hatched fry from escaping.

I have seen my cherries eat cory eggs. I was pretty surprised. I don't think they specifically go for it. If they happen to come across one and can break it open. It was sad watching it happen...
