Love the tank! Like you said before Green Neons would be a great addition. You wont't regret it. Mine school tightly and imo are better looking than regular neons. Keep posting pictures!

There are not that many schooling species in Africa but you could try African Glass catfish which stay rather small but are shy, Jae Barbs, Barbus hulstaerti, Barbus candens, or African Moon Tetras....

Mine would dry out if they had leaves out of the water. If this tank was closed and was very high humidity it would be okay.
