I have been thinking the same thing about the driftwood but it is too much work to change it now xD and the round rock is just to grow out some moss :)

This is after a 50% water change, the tannins are still pretty strong. Added 8 silvertip tetras and some plants which I don't know all of the names of.

I disagree on the skimmer for a 12 gallon, weekly water changes would be better. You should look into a DIY Ac fuge with a powerhead or 2.
I prefer the colour of 10000k lights and you do not need...
