I'd sit down with soothing music on and and couple bins of water in front of me to sort out the mess with a cookie sheet covered with a wet towel to put the properly oriented plants on and do it...

I'd look up EI light and do that plus Excel/glut. The macro/micro is good stuff and is just missing the phosphate to be a complete feed. Plants need it all!

Not EI light but a nice page on EI....

Agree, shorten light cycle, look into EI light [rather than dosing daily and doing a 50% water change weekly dose once a week and do smaller water changes] and use Excel.

Get estimates of the glass you need to replace and the one you need to cover the holes if that isn't a crack on the bottom. Not going to be a couple of bucks! Even the silicone to patch this up is...

Substrate based fertilizer gets into the water column anyway.

I used just water fertilizer for years and my crypts and swords were just fine. My Anubias are mostly on wood and roots don't get to...

Oops.

Do pH tests before gas goes on and when lights turn on. pH should be at its highest before gas goes on. If you have pH at 6.8 at 6pm then look for 6.8pH when lights go on. If the tank's pH...

I wouldn't put it at the bottom, that would defeat the circular flow pattern.

What is bugging you about the water movement? If your sump pump is putting out a couple hundred GPH that plus the 2...

A better chart is this one from this thread. Unless Coralife has changed things in the past couple of years you don't really have too much light at all and perhaps going from 12 to 8 hours is all...

Don't aim for GH/KH that is too low! I don't have particularly soft water and a few plants stunted until I added a bit of GH booster to the tank. Plants need some hardness.

The dying sword plant leaves were grown in air and don't live long underwater. Agree with James', cut them out and the tank will look better.

The macro/micro mix doesn't contain phosphorus and is basically a PMDD formula. Get some phosphorus, and use it as well alternating days with the macro/micro mix, that would be doing EI! If you could...

The drop checker is in a much better spot now but it will still take time for it to show the pH of the water. Use it as a general check that you are putting enough CO2 in and that the tank hasn't run...
