Decent mid-range router. From what you have said it should do everything you need without spending much.

Well I took a chance and went ahead and ordered the knockoff. Hopefully it gives me at least good low light. If not, it was only $55.

I don't want to have to use CO2. Hanging the light is not an option. I believe the Finnex sitting on the tank will be more light than I want.

you could wait 1 -2 days and see if it converts...

you could wait 1 -2 days and see if it converts everything to nitrate, then add some and test how fast it converts it. Should be 24hrs or less

I'd use both, only thing that may be not to your liking would be the flow. If its too much use it as an excuse to buy another tank for the 2nd filter :biggrin:
