I have the exact lighting you're talking about...
I have the exact lighting you're talking about and it has wire extenders that come out from the side and rest on the rim of the tank. I certainly wouldn't trust a cat on it though. My tank is open...

Well, it's this style hood (we got it from Home...
Well, it's this style hood (we got it from Home Depot). It's just one big reflector basically for 4 bulbs. I guess if it's too much light I could just remove a bulb. Ignore the white t-12 lighting...

4 t8's over 75 gallon
I'm going for low to medium light - really don't want to do CO2 but might in the future. Not crazy about dosing except for some excel or comprehensive once in awhile. So I've had these 3 t12's over...
