Help with lighting a 30" long tank
I think a 30" Finnex Ray2 led light fixture would work great with the tank.
Plus, you would have the nice pure white light and shimmer that you get with LEDs and Metal Halide lights.

Incandescent bulbs are the wrong color spectrum for plants. You are much better off using the cfls. You should try to get a 6500K color spectrum.
