word of caution fresh water inverts can carry a higher precentage of human contratactable parasites than saltwater inverts(liver and lung flukes, ect)
so if you do eat fresh water crustacens please...

I would recomend amanos if you really want them...

I would recomend amanos if you really want them for algae control as the rcs will not eat hair type algaes.

also somthing to keep in mind if its green water daphnia and clamshrimp are great lil...

If your tank is not overstocked and your not mass producing for sale they get plenty of food off the plants and substrate.

I have mine in a planted 6...
