A friend used it. It grows plants well. It has peat, and it turned our basic water acidic- around six. He replaced it. Not a fan.

Build my led lights can be disconnected from the power supply. You can buy dimmers for them. I think they can be run with a controller also, you should check.

There is a guy on ebay that sells Ohko Stones / dragonstones in packages sometime for not-horrible prices. I don't think he's got any up at the moment, you might want to check periodically.

No fish except maybe oto cats.
An aquaclear HOB with a prefilter is good for filtering.
Cherry shrimp are pretty and inexpensive.
