It would vary by aquarium size. Canisters, HOB and even internal filters grace my tanks to ensure that flow is consistent throughout. Its really up to personal preference.

i have that diffusor and it was retired after 6 months. it clogged and was cleaned a few times. When it worked, it was okay but saturation in my 40g was never as good as it is today with a reactor....

Both the BML & Planted+ will be strong enough to produce hair algae and green spot on plants that reach the rim of the tank as the PAR will be extreme...

The bottoms will send out sideshoots . Just keep the phosphates and micro dosing to encourage healthy and steady growth. These are one of my favorite stems.
