My shrimp tank has bacopa, crypt balsansae, crypt wendtii Vesuvius and kleiner Prinz swords, and micro swords all doing fantastic without any ferts.

It's a metae. And yes, two years. And I've kept cories on fluorite in the past with no issues. Maybe they don't get to half-bury themselves rooting like they do in sand, but mine don't seem to mind...
