I would suspect new tank syndrome as the prime factor, as well as your Carbo-plus unit ( Hop is right ) and I'd be unsure about the bioload... it's a bit on the high side imho. :)

Give it time...

Excess nitrates and phosphates have been proven to not cause algae. Rather, a lack of plant growth causes algae.

The MM is fine imho, I'd make the Wallichi thicker and not so straight looking. :) Trim it so you get the triangular layout.

Seachem's Excel for the carbon source you need? And there's always the (expensive) ADA mini C02 dispenser with a diffusor.
