30 PPM CO2 will roughly drop pH 1 degree. My untreated water is 7.2, so I expect a 6.2 pH level. This isn't an exact measurement, but a good target to aim for.

I agree. Either raise lighting fixture to reduce overall lighting or maintain proper ferts and CO2 to keep everything in balance. It's the only way to control algae growth.
