Pull the plant up and tie it to a small rock...

Pull the plant up and tie it to a small rock using cotton thread. Then lay the rock on the substrate. Don't bury it.

Hate that plant! Glad I am rid of it. Utricularia gramminifolia is very worthwhile but Utricularia gibba is the worst hitchhiker I've ever had.
