You'd want to use a 3 way solenoid. You don't want to stop the flow of diy co2. Doing so can result in a explosion or nasty mess. The best you can hope for is to redirect the gas out of the system...

2 cylinders. 2 regulators. 12 needle valves. And that's the bare minimum. You'd be better off with three regulators and cylinders. You could do one really big cylinder but the cost would be off...

It's pretty easy to figure out if you're on a slab or not. If you're on a raised foundation, there will be some kind of access somewhere outside. Ground level vents, a crawl space, ect.

No, the filter should be forcing water through the reactor. Not pulling it in. You shouldn't have anything restricting the flow going into the filter.
