I agree. Especially people on top of a well. Achieving 60+ psi needs a booster pump.

You can also test the permeate "pure water" and compare it to the tap. This should get you the rejection rate.

TDS tap - permeate / TDS Tap

Anything above 90% would be fine. Personally...

I would have to disagree with 6-8:1 being normal. That's double of what is normal to me, 3-4. If low pressure is the cause of dumping out 6-8 gallons then this RO unit doesnt have adequate enough...

Something is wrong with your RO unit. It's not suppose to dump 6-8 gallons for every gallon of pure water. Not sure how your ro is set up but either your auto shut off valve is bad or your membrane...

Hey Wasserpest,

What kind of pump is that in the bucket with the floats? I'm looking for a pump just like that- one that will accept a small line and submersible.

I see your problem, they arent being planted correctly. You want to just plant one node (2 leaves). In the picture you got 2 nodes....guess where the new node will grow? straight up!

Ive come to my own conclusion with the help of others, that the 2217 impeller increases flow. How much? I dont know but I guess its noticeable.

Also dont buy a 2215 canister filter, get the 2217....
