I'll probably be off to the woods soon to collect...

I'll probably be off to the woods soon to collect some Oak twigs/branches. I already have Oak leaves ready to go, although need to figure out whats to be done with the filter and heater first.

Anubias algae

Hi

I have had this algae growing on my anubias since ive had my tank setup (year and a hald roughly) before i had my plec, it would get covered in black/green algae but when i got him hes cleared...

I think HC or dwarf hairgrass may have a problem with just growing in sunlight, escpecially if theres no CO2

Also expect algae problems with lots of sunlight

I am thinking about creating a terrarium with a small section of water diving the middle diagonally, and having grasses either side of the water area.

CPO illegal in UK?

Hi i was just wondering if CPO's are illegal in the UK?

I'm guessing they are as i think the only legal crayfish is cherax quadricarinatus.

Very nice tanks, especially love the moss carpet in the second tank. I think thats the nicest carpet i have ever seen prefer it to HC, glosso etc will hopefully be trying this sometime.

Making filter shrimp safe

Hi

i need to make the intake of my filter shrimp safe.

Before i have used a piece of tight/legging and attached it with a plastic strap although this made the noise of the filter quite a bit...
