How do you rescape a shrimp tank safely?

I have about 15 RCS adults and maybe about 30 or so shrimplets in a 8 gal. tank.....I am planning on rescaping the tank to create more open space for them. I have tons of plants and its like a jungle...

Change my shrimp tank...

I am planning on changing my currently running 8 gal. shrimp tank to a 10 gal. rimless....how do I do it? I am afraid that after I disturb the substrate it will make the water unstable for my RCS...

Echinodorus tenellus trimming questions

I've trying to search for answer but none came up. I tried to find out if trimming the E. tenellus' leaves shorter will kill the leaves/plants or they will eventually grow back....I know some plants...

HELP! I just see tons of worms in my shrimp tank!!!

they are all gathering together at the bottom of the tank right above the substrate against the wall of the tank...they are tiny worms but because there are lots and lots of them it really is nasty...

Can floater plants be bad for plants in the tank?

I mean since they are floating and get the goodies in the water does that mean the rooted plants will get less since the floaters are taking up much of the nutrients in the water ? thanks

as of planted tank...I am going the cheapest way possible...so far ~$300 for a 37 gal. community and a 8 gal. shrimp tank and I started around march.
