How to get driftwood to stop floating

So anybody have any thoughts on this? I have a couple branches of Manzanita driftwood that I'd like to use... but as soon as I put them in the tank they float all the way to the top!!

So every time I've found I have my light off, my school of 20 neons are all tightly schooling. But as soon as I turn it on they start to spread all out and stop schooling. Is this normal behavior?

Definitely go with the 40B. The 30B footprint is a little bit odd. I can see having a 12 inch tall tank if you have like a 33 or a 20 long, but I think tanks IMO need at least a little bit of height....

I currently have 20 neons in my 55 gallon right now with 2 Aquaclear 70 filters and they're doing just fine. Also remember, the flow on the AC70 filter is adjustable.
