Thanks! The one in the front has been wire brushed, the one in the background hasn't. Most of the old bark is just sort of clinging on to it, so it's pretty easy to remove. Pretty psyched on these...

Finished putting sand in the 55 and started adding some large river rocks. Not 100% set on the layout, but it's a start. I'll probably add some peat moss to my filters just incase the rocks raise...

I'm just wondering, if you have heavy filtration and water volume turnover on a tank, is it less likely to get algae of any sorts? say you had 29g sump on a 40 breeder or something similar in size...
