Does it make any sense at all to run co2 into a sump for multiple tanks? Or would I just be wasting co2?

I have floramx over sand. Pita to plant in. IMHO. Otherwise, looks good. I used o+ and another nitrate source. Plants are doing well.

Adding Phosphate to substrate

I have a 10gallon of mostly root feeders (crypts, hair grass, dwarf sag) I am seeing some GSA and thinking it might be because of low phosphates.
I have a few O+ caps in the substrate, plus a...

Is looking so much better without Excel. Getting some GSA on other plants now. Hoping Wc fixes. I won't use excel again until I have enough to do some testing with.

Well

Seems my nitrates have leveled out, but with only four shrimp left in 15. Lesson learned about acclimating properly and testing.

I think we should first ask what your nitrates are, how heavily planted, and what your maintenance routine is. I agree the "rule" is just for beginners, but if your maintenance isn't good, your...

Dont know what size tank you have

But the best way to get a pair is to get a group of six juveniles and raise them up together until they pair off.

There is a very good seller on Aquabid (River11) that also posts on TAF II. I...

Ok. I have a new theory

So the substrate of this tank is a home recipe with sand mixed with worm castings, iron, and peat, with a couple of O+ tabs thrown in. I capped this with a little play sand and then some caribsea...

Nitrates...

Should I wait a few days to do another WC? I dont want to do too much at once and shock them. What level of nitrates should I shoot for? 10 or less?

Water Params - should I be concerned?

I bought a group of 15 RCS a week ago and added them to a 10 gallon that was well cycled and showing nitrate. I acclimated them a little too quickly and got a handful of passed out little shrimp....

What were the rivers like that you found the moss in? Slow flowing, clear water, size/depth?

Thanks,
