Looks very nice.. regular tap water is good for the minerals. Regards to the question on frogbit. It is very hardy. The roots were maybe damaged in shipping.

The window faces east and gets direct sun for about 4-5 hours in winter. In summer, there is alot of leaves so direct sun is about 2 hours, but daylight can be 14-15 hours!

Little itty bitty nanos

Here are some projects that I have been working on. These little nanos grow in the windowsill. I started with hairgrass and tried crypt parva. Why I didn't go with anubia nano?...next plant!

I grow plants in the windowsill. Mostly hairgrass. Using aquasoil with good results.

It's easiest in summer , because of longer daylight hours. The long daylight hours makes for good growing...

pretty cool. I have a couple sunlight only nanos. a lotta goblets growing hairgrass, and two other nanos which don't get much attention. the best situation is summer with long daylight hours.
