I would say that it is absolutely the bug spray...

I would say that it is absolutely the bug spray causing your problems. Shrimp are very delicate and you are spraying a poison in the air near their tank.

Looks to be just a malaysian trumpet snail (MTS). Totally harmless. They burrow in your substrate during the day and come out at night. I like them.
