I use that same eheim on my 46 it should work. The power head will be needed for good circulation for the plants. The rest looks like a great low tech set up.

I used a syringe and excel all over the wood I have in my tank taken from a lake I cleaned it up real good with a stiff brush put it in hot water in the bath tub for a couple days then took it out...

I cant get snails to live in my high tech set up they always die :/ I have added mts and ramshorn time and time agian only to watch thier shells deteriorate and they die.

I still have the GSA I just bought a scraper and use it on front and side glass. The GSA stopped growing on my plants but still has a good hold on my wood and glass.

IMHO Quarantine is the absolute best way to prevent outbreak. And the best/safest way to treat it (which I have had to do many times because I was too hard headed to get a QT tank) is with heat above...
