Don't use antibiotics to kill blue green algae. Use it to kill fish diseases instead. You're likely to create super bugs in your tank and wipe out the good stuff in your filter.

I wouldn't worry...

I raised feeder guppies as a kid. They were neat. I let them breed with the fancy guppies and got some interesting morphs.

I don't see them anymore in the lfs.

yeah, it's pretty easy. You just need to make sure you have the current php & mysql setup on your server. Besides that, you click install and enter in some passwords from the server.

Scuds or amphipod sp. will breed like roaches. You won't have a problem with them as long as you feed them.

Copepods can be finicky. They can die off all of a sudden.

It depends on the meds but if it is antibiotics, I would buy new ones. They do lose effectiveness over time which cause resistant bugs.

The short finned betta will jump out of the tank. The long finned are too heavy. They can jump about an inch or two out of the water. I used to make them jump for treats.

People use dechlor because it's cheaper or they're not handy.
