We use chopsticks instead of spatulas in my house, so I don't have any spare spatulas laying around the house. It probably wouldn't fit in my fluval chi anyway.

I wasn't quite thinking about using it as a cap but rather having it mixed in with the MGO that way the clay will benefit the plants in some way.
