I have never had a negative experience on here

with another forum member. Just with one of the sponsor/sellers. THAT was an eye opener. I find most forum members to be supportive of each other and trying to be helpful. But, admittedly, when...

Mine spent most of their time out of the rocks

in anything from a half gallon to a gallon container with never more than a dozen shrimp. I'd say 8-9 always swimming around in the water column or moving across the lava rock. So, I don't think it...

Google "plants for brackish water tanks"

You will find that many will do just fine at 1.005. The mosses all tolerate it. The nanas do fine. I know this bc I have a brackish tank for my brackish crab for almost two years. Marimo and java...

Marimo are just fine in low salinity brackish tanks

You can keep them in salinities up to 1.008 spec. gravity. I had one in with my HRS and they loved picking it over. It grew. It stayed green. They are listed on every list of brackish water...

Don't do it

I had had my HRS for several years in varying salinities. Happy, molting, eating so much short green algae they ignored their "treats" after a while and then I decided to try them in freshwater...

many plants possible with a 1.005 reading

If you keep your salinity down, you can keep all of the nanas, the mosses, the japanese moss balls, the myrio filligree, and a ton of other common plants you had no idea would tolerate a brackish...

I have that light. It is a great light. As reviewed on AMZ, it can flicker and dim at times and I just override the timer and turn it on and off a few times and it is fine. Something to do with a...

Horned nerite snails? Bumblebee or black variety?

Firstly, stunning that you could do that in a bowl. Secondly, how do you feel about a couple of horned nerite snails? They are not interested in plants and are algae devourers--except mine do not...

:red_mouth Be prepared to be fiddling around with these things for a looong time. And "not bad," they're both great. Did the one plant just start to emerge naturally? If you wind up needing...

The few pics I've seen of them are amazing and it would be the only

Will Amano's Wabi-Kusa EVER be sold in US??

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I could not find it anywhere. Since they are not, is it the plant issue preventing them from being able to go thru customs?

i agree; I have a microsword in a 30 oz. bowl

that is just stuck in some natural-colored gravel. I use a few eye dropper drops of liquid fertilizer when I add more water. Since it is in what was marketed as an incense holder jar, it has a neck...
