1) You bumped a 4 year old thread
2) You most likely did the exact same thing I did when I set up my 406. You installed the O-ring wrong. When I set it up, it "looked" like it sealed, but it would...

Follow up so I don't have to start a new thread: I'm going to be re-doing my 12" cube (so 7.5gal total, less with stuff in it). I'm heavily thinking of using a Fugeray to light it, however, I'm...

Another FYI for this thread, I build one of these (very similar to the original design) about 3 years ago. It's held a 40B every since, rock solid. I have no qualms about the stand holding up.

Re: xenxes's Balcony Planter 24g - "Mud Bucket"

Not sure if this has been discussed, but do I see that you have plants planted in clay pots within the planter?

Re: 12" cube Mr. Aqua

Does the LED bulb bother you when sitting in the room? I have a single cfl over my 12" cube in my living room and I must admit it's a bit annoying as the bulb isn't recessed enough. I was debating...

I've heard other cichlids will try to hid in sand, but she had buried herself so far down, only a bit of her dorsal fin was visible. I found that very odd.

I rescaped my tank today, and my female Jack Dempsey was very stressed during the transition. At one point I lost track of her, until I noticed her tail sticking out from under the subtrate (eco...

Very very nice, I love the F-series tanks. Toying with the idea of building my own 75-F or 90-F as they don't make them bigger than the 60-F

Both are great canisters. Both will of course have lemons/bad units as any large-scale manufacturing product does. I have a Fluval 406, and really like it. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either....

Filterless 7.5 cube?

I've seen filterless bowls etc work, but I'm not sure about a tank as "large" as a 12" cube. I have one set up as a shrimp cube, and I was going to experiment with it. I wanted a clean look, so I had...
