Yep its still up and flourishing. Its been slow but its starting to fill out. The shrimp are doing great. I'll have to get some updated pictures of the tank when I get a chance.

The electrical current going through the water will be more dangerous than the corrosion. A full water change and cleaning isn't likely necessary but will probably ease your mind a bit.

I'm not sure what impresses me more. The filter itself, or the fact that you are 13, you are making your own money and are building a DIY canister filter.

Some dirt tanks I've never really had tannins color the water and others it was pretty severe. It'll go away with enough water changes. Tannins are good for you fish though.

Yup. Cories can live together. I think matching body size is key. You might not have them grouping together if you had some trilineatus and concolour in the same tank.

A thorough rinse will wash any fertilizer residue off unless it is a very porous stone, but it sounds like you are working with typical river rocks which aren't very porous.
