Glad to hear the soul is living on :-). My tanks are all doing relatively well with almost zero attention the past 6mo. Have some algae issues in most of them now, but nothing too serious.

While I had the plants out I tried doing a head count. I stopped around 50 (!)....

Thanks, he was dead this morning. I didn't see anything obviously wrong that would indicate bacteria (no fin clamping, redness, swollen abdomen, etc.). I tested the water and everything was nominal...

I installed that DIY reactor and WOW did it make a huge difference. I'm down to like 1 bubble every 2 seconds, and my drop checker is still yellow.

There are unfortunately a lot of algae problems...

I can't offer any good advice, but I had 2 or 3 Gouramis die on me within a week or two of getting them from Petsmart. I think it's just poor stock.
