i was suggesting in case if he want to add more Ca which is not needed and it can start to harm certain plants if you keep on raising it. 3dgh is fine the way it is.

too much Calcium can harm the plants, i use to grow plants at 2ppm of Calcium and 8ppm of Magnesium. your GH is fine, no need to add more Ca.

ignore the PH and KH and focus on co2 and plants, i have almost 0 Kh in my tank and no issue with anything including fishes or plants, PH swings are not going to kill anything in your tank.

i dose them both at the same time everyday and i do not have any issue, these reactions are more related to those who have high Kh/Ph, those with lower Kh/Ph and acidic water will not see these...

been using all in one recipes for few years and no reaction of any kind ever occured and plants always grew great, test kits and plants confirm that po4 and Fe are present in the tank.

the fact is root tabs don't work like the way people think, IME root tabs slowly charge the substrate and leach into the water at very slow rate, the good growth of plants is mostly from the leached...
