I'm using the one that came with the driver? By "linear" I mean that the first 2/3 knob turn dims it very little, then the last 1/3 dims a LOT. Sorry I couldn't figure out a way to explain that...

Yes it is. I also tried to run the circuit without the pot, both with the wires open and closed. Neither option helped. I emailed the vendor but they are in China and I won't hear anything from them...

Wow, I can't believe you would recommend that fixture Hoppy! Everything I've read about them says they are total crap. Those LED's are so ineffecient! Not to mention the life of the diodes themselves...
