Once mulm starts to settle into the sand, anaerobic pockets are possible in sand. The two solutions are to either get a trumpet snail colony going in the sand (my preferred method) or just poke the...

With that lighting setup, dosing and co2 just about any foreground plant should be easy to grow. I have a very similar setup and dwarf baby tears and dwarf hairgrass both filled in very quickly. If...

Buce would be gorgeous in a tank that size. Very low maintenance and slow growing, awesome colors, and they put out flowers submerged. Don't even need substrate if you don't want it because they...

I'll take a stab at a few of these questions from my experience (125g heavily planted high tech tank).

First - Out of those two, I'd go with the Finnex. I have Finnex and love the quality, and...

I think you'd be fine with every 6 months. Just remember to not rinse your biological filtration with tap water - it will kill your good bacteria. I clean my sponges with tap water, wring them out,...

I have a combination of Finnex Ray2 and MonsterRay (MonsterRay was just added for color as the Ray2 looked a bit washed out on its own) over my 125g. I have a full carpet - half the tank is dwarf...

Yep - I've looked into this too. The dosing guide I was reading when I ordered my ferts didn't include it, so I never ordered any. Like Matt said, a lot of people think you're getting enough K in...
