I dont think itll work because once trimmed , the trimmed leaves will die . Reproducing new sprouts and plantlets. There is val "nana" that doesnt grow as tall.

Aquasoil will end up at the top in the long run, since sand is smaller it tends to shift itself down the aquasoil (exp gravel and sand)

I love my snails. They clean the tank, clean up leftover foods, and Imo they aren't "ugly" . ThEyre just a great multi task force , the awesome janitors of the tank.
