A little short on cash?

My experience was that smaller tanks are not very economical either. They are more difficult to balance which requires more time, tinkering, and additives.

shelves load bearing?

Not related to the temperature question, but for what it's worth, what is the weight bearing rating for those shelves? A 20 gallon tank would weigh, just the water, 160 pounds.
