I am not "playing around". This is no more "dangerous" than lighting your tank with CLF's over a tank with glass tops.

Remember though that running a pump through your reactor will certainly be too much flow and just push bubbles it into your display. I have a 4 foot reactor because I wanted to do something similar...

Sump or canisters?

As long as the overflow system you are using utilizes a full siphon it will be as quiet as your return pump can be. The thing that is most noisy in my setup is my co2 reactor.

It was the"black Friday special". It is a 6500k spectrum fixture they did just for that weekend. I believe it is still being sold, just at the regular price. The thing is a tank though! Very well...
