Ahh, my mistake. I didn't see these ones earlier. I was thinking upwards of 8x bulbs were rather extreme. Thanks for pointing this out.

My 40b that I bought during the last $1/gallon...

My 40b that I bought during the last $1/gallon sale measures 36 1/8" long x 16 7/8" tall x 18 1/4" deep. I believe the plastic trim around the bottom is ~0.5" wide. Thats all that would be in contact...

CO2 Cylinder Question

I have an opportunity to purchase the purchase the 2.5# CO2 cylinder below:

Looks very similar to the setup I'm working on, 40b with black background. I planned ahead and sprayed the back with black plasti-dip instead of spray paint. But the black felt does look very nice...

I understand the Eco Complete has a high cation exchange capacity and out of the bag it has little nutrients for plants...

The more filtration the better, but that's going to be a lot of water flow in my opinion, esp in a nano tank. But it would be a good idea to use a pre-filter so none of your shrimp get sucked into...

Temp is right around 76-77 degrees. Running a sponge filter only, so not much current in the tank.

I've counted two moltings, so hopefully that's a good sign.

Tank cycled for about two months.

I just purchased the 24" Finnex Ray 2 in 7000k...

I just purchased the 24" Finnex Ray 2 in 7000k for my 10 gallon. The sliding legs are adjustable and I have it set up right now. It does hang a little on the sides, but it does work for what I need...
