Crypts can be sensitive to change. Mine melted almost completely when I moved them, however thankfully they fully recovered. Hopefully yours will adjust to new tank and the change in light intensity...

Zero nitrates? I had a hard time with algae when I had no nitrate reading in my dirt tank. I ended up having to dose KN03 to keep it at 10ppm, which really helped.
For OP, I'm assuming your "aged"...

I use the Azoo mignon 60 on my 2.5 and 3g tanks and they work great. I modify the filter media to function more like AC hob's and my betta's are happy and healthy.

Nope, hoses aren't pinched. Bought it from Amazon and the return window has expired. It's definitely not dirty. It's silent, so if it were sucking air it would be noisy. Thanks though.
