Did just under a 5 gallon water change and replaced with pure RO/DI water and PH is down to 8-8.1 with a TDS of 179. Should I put peat in and do another water change in a few days?

Other question I have is can I take out the CRS, place them in a bucket, remove the ADA aquasoil and replace with Akadama? Or will I need to cycle the take prior to putting the CRS back in?

They will do fine in non-brackish water and heavily planted. Watch your CO2 levels as it can kill any fish.

Thanks guys. Just did that and got 144 ppm by just squeezing a bunch in. Definitely a heck of a lot more than 3.8mL as the instructions on the bottle state.
