Thanks for the response. I feed my Betta three small betta pellets, in contrast to the tropical flakes I put in the other tank.
The other tank does have 2 plecos, so maybe they just do a better...

Dirty tank... don't understand
I have 2 tanks-- a 29 gallon and a 5 gallon.

Do people do this? This isn't generally something I see. Usually I see big fish (8"+) in non-planted tanks, whereas planted tanks usually stick to shoaling fish in the 1-3" range. Is there a reason...
