I bought it as Salvinia natans. From what i can see by googling, Salvinia molesta seems bigger and even more folded inward.

I got it at an online aquarium plant shop in holland.

Update (10 sep 2015)

Took out the floating Heteranthera zosterifolia and Elodea densa today and replaced it with Salvinia natans & Phyllanthus fluitans.

The plants are all still growing fast but the fastest growers...

Yep just use a calculator and make a lean solution. Be sure to make it so that you need to add say at least 10ml per dosing. By doing so you always have the flexibility to dose less nutrients easily...

When they dont get submersed by the current all the time...

You dont have to use more soil to get high soil ;)

I had the same experience and went back to the ugly eheim green. Your idea with the mesh sounds really good, it covers flow and shrimp problems in one go.

How do you plan on sawing it?

Things are going well.

New leafs on the Hygro pinnatifida, new leafs on the Crypt lucens, at least one sag is showing its roots through the glass & the tenullus is busy...
