Ray2 is not good in terms of the red spectrum. Alot of people use a Ray2 and a MonsterRay together to get the lighting effect they need for red plants.

I was going to use a Ray2 on my 40 breeder...

The current satellite fixtures are great fixtures and would supply nice light and will not be overkill in any way shape or form. And they aren't super expensive.
