Just did a quick search on the black banded...

Just did a quick search on the black banded sunfish and it looks like it won't work due to temp conflicts. So no go on them, looking at rainbows next!

Im still not sure on the substrate, its a bit lighter than i would have liked and its pretty rough but I wouldnt be able to have cories anyways with the bush fish...

I don't want to get active dithers for sure, I don't want the fish that are the main point of the tank to hide all the time! I'll have to do further research to see what will fit best....
