I normally use one light (92 watts) but since the lights are older than a year old i though i'd double em to get enough light....

i have been seeing pics of people planted tanks w/ no canopies on them. Their light fixtures are on stands instead of resting on top of the tank.

wow prices look a lot better than the seachem products i'm using. but, they wouldn't be too convenient, especially with a 16 month old child to hide stuff from.

I don't have snails, but excel never has bothered...

I don't have snails, but excel never has bothered them, i started back up with my ferts and excel (cuz i haven't had a chance to buy any for the longest time) and i am noticing a super quick recovery...

what about putting...i think it's natural peat moss in a nylon, rinsing it out, and hanging it in your filter outflow, i always heard that would buffer your pH.
