Fun fish to have. Great snail eaters. Mine were very sociable once settled in. But, I found them to constantly dig and move substrate which made it a hard tank to have plants in.

They seem to have no interest in the shrimp. I've even observed them sharing an algae wafer with them. Lucky me? I do make sure they get enough wafers and other algae/shrimp foods...

Mine only gets to be about 1 to 1 1/2 inches tall in a med/low light set up. Low tech tank. Have had it for a few years now and there's been no change in the height growth.
