The SunSun might be too large. I wouldn't want it on a tank smaller than this I don't think. Perhaps consider a zoomed 501. They're cheap and good, too!

They are- 6500k low energy consumption LEDs.

The bodies are a clip-screw on type connector...

CRS = Crystal Red Shrimp

RCS = Red Cherry Shrimp.

If you're just starting, stick with RCS. They're easy.

Bettas are ticking time bombs with shrimp.

I don't know much about the spec V lighting, but that seems like a simple wiring fix. Make the switch open the circuit for both, get both on.
