Tank gets sunlight a few hours a day

My tank is placed about 8' away from a window, and receives a few hours of sunlight, through blinds. The sun isn't very intense in the winter here in WI, but on sunny days I might have to rethink...

I'm not sure about C. spiralis, but I trim my C. retrospiralis down to about 6-8" when they get to tall for my 10 gal. The cut leaves still grow in length and don't die back for me.

This might seem unusual, but how would having a partially filled 75 gal affect the way it needs to be lit? I was thinking of T5HO for a low tech, low light tank. The lights would be farther away...

You might also want to consider adding more light... a 90 gallon is a huge tank, and very little light is reaching the bottom, even for a low light setup.
